Engaging Young People & Creative Engagement 

Want to enhance how you can engage children and young people in civic roles or develop new ways of using arts and creativity to deliver consultations?

Young Advisors and Catch22 are working with the Voluntary Youth Manchester (VYM) to provide a two part workshop to enhance how workers engage with children and young people.

The workshop will take place between 10 and 4 and will include lunch.

Young Advisors is an exciting and innovative national programme, giving young people a voice and platform to make improvements to their community.  Working as paid consultants, Young Advisors, aged between 15 and 21, will help you understand what it is like for young people to live, work, learn and play in today’s world.

Catch22 is a national charity that works with young people who find themselves in difficult situations. Whatever the reason for their situation, they help them out. They work with their families and their communities wherever and whenever young people need them most; in schools, on the streets, in the home, at community centres, shopping centres, in police stations, and in custody.

Seminar will cover:

·       Understanding the national context of youth engagement

·       Youth lead research on barriers and enablers to young people’s empowerment

·       Practical and creative tools and support for the engagement of young people

·       Learning about Young Advisors and Catch22
